The songs writing session in New York involving songwriters MoZella (Maureen Anne McDonald), Stephan Moccio, and also Sacha Skarbek. MoZella was in the midst of a painful personal breakup, she had just called off her wedding and arrived at the session emotionally fragile.

It shattered the Vevo record with 19.3 million views in its first 24 hours, surpassing One Direction’s previous mark. It quickly amassed hundreds of millions of views (now over a billion on YouTube) and propelled the song to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it debuted at No. 50 as a promotional track before surging after the video drop.
